Breast Reconstruction Surgery
Dr. Iteld and his staff are fantastic. They really make you feel as comfortable as possible. Dr. Iteld is very talented and did a wonderful job on my breast reconstruction.
Breast cancer is very scary, but Dr. Iteld and his staff were very supportive during my tough time. Instead of feeling like I lost something after my mastectomy I feel like I’ve gained something: Confidence, Health, and Friendships.
Hearing the words, breast cancer is one of the most terrifying words a person could ever hear. Not only did Dr. Iteld calmly listened to me and answer all of my questions with the kindest of heart, but he also has helped me feel whole again which is something cancer tried taking away from me. Now, I confidently wear bathing suits, tank tops and other types of clothing I thought I would never get back into after my mastectomy. I have so much respect for Dr. Iteld. Thank you! You are a gift to your patients; most certainly to those of us rebuilding our minds and bodies post diagnosis.
Breast reconstruction surgery is a physically and emotionally rewarding procedure for a woman who needs a mastectomy in the treatment of breast cancer or other conditions.
The creation of a new breast can dramatically improve your self-image, self-confidence and quality of life. The goal of reconstructive surgery is to create a relatively natural-looking breast. A reconstructed breast won’t look or feel exactly the same as the breast that was removed, but results can be quite close.
Breast reconstruction is achieved through several plastic surgery techniques that attempt to restore a breast to near normal shape, appearance and size following mastectomy. Although breast reconstruction can restore the shape of your breast, this is process and may require multiple steps.
