New Year’s Resolution: Do it for yourself

Patients often come in for a consultation and tell me that a friend parent or spouse told them to have a procedure. I ask them “what do you want to do for yourself?” Considering surgery, a minimally invasive or a nonsurgical procedure should not be because someone told you to have something done—instead, do it for yourself!

Honesty counts

Let’s get honest. Just because you saw a picture of a celeb on social media and thought “wow! I wish I looked like that” doesn’t make it realistic. You need to consider your body structure and architecture. If you’re a petite size 4, nothing we can do will make you 5’10” and a size 0. The same is true for any procedure we offer. If you have a wide chest, your bones will remain that way. So, any breast procedure needs to take that into account. See what I mean?!

My goal is to help you be the best expression of you. BUT—and this is a very big but—you also need to be realistic about how you should look. It has always been my experience that patients with the most realistic expectations have the best outcomes and are happiest with their results.
