Linda Zamora — Patient Coordinator
Linda’s natural passions are to help others and promote self-growth. For her, treating the body and the mind is essential to a patient’s overall health. With over six years of medical and aesthetic experience, she shares her passions with our patients to provide them with the best aesthetic options. She calls herself the “Wedding Planner of Plastic Surgery,” as she takes the time to listen to and address the patients’ concerns, provide a customized treatment plan, and prepare the patient for optimal post-operative recovery. Although she loves educating patients on their options with us, she believes she consistently learns about the limitless strength and courage our patients have that helps improve one’s self. Her goal is for our team to exceed our patients’ goals and to formulate the best possible patient-centered plan of care.
Linda holds a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University of Chicago and is a certified medical assistant.
Caryle Johnson, M.H.A. — Director of Patient Experience/Practice Manager
Caryle brings 20 years of patient coordinator experience to Dr. Lawrence Iteld’s practice. In 2014, she joined the team after a long tenure working for the late Dr. Rodger Wade Pielet. From the moment a patient enters our office, Caryle is there to guide them throughout their journey, making sure each patient feels heard and understood, as well as knows the options available to meet their specific needs. One of the things she loves most is seeing how much patients’ sense of self can improve after having a procedure, and she values going through the journey with them. Caryle is loyal, hardworking, and friendly, bringing these qualities to the office each and every day. Patients come to love Caryle easily, and she becomes a very trusted person in their lives, striving for the goal of each patient leaving the office with a smile. Caryle holds a master of health administration degree and a bachelor’s degree in business, both from Saint Louis University.
Desirée Martinez, RN, BSN, CANS — Aesthetic Nurse Injector, Laser Specialist
Desirée specializes in providing nonsurgical cosmetic facial solutions to enhance and restore a natural, more youthful look. She offers her patients a unique combination of knowledge, facial assessment, and artistry. With more than eight years of experience in the aesthetics field, she has developed extensive product knowledge and unique treatment techniques, which she combines with a superior attention to detail to deliver unparalleled results.
As a well-known expert injector in the aesthetics field, Desirée regularly trains physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals in advanced cosmetic injection techniques.
Desirée received her bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and she is a Woman’s Health Nurse Practitioner candidate for 2021. She has also received her Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) certification through the American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses (ASPSN), and she is certified in laser physics and safety, as well as absorbable PDO threads.
An ardent believer in continuous education, Desirée has received—and continues to receive—extensive training in aesthetic medicine, allowing her to remain on the forefront of the most effective technologies and cosmetic treatments.
Nadia Shirani, MSN, BSN, CANS — Nurse Practitioner
Nadia Shirani is an aesthetic Nurse Practitioner with eight years of experience working in the aesthetic industry. She began her career working in a hospital but soon discovered her underlying passion for making women and men look and feel their best. Her desire to learn and evolve has enabled her to gain a detailed knowledge of facial aesthetics and clinical anatomy. Nadia prides herself on giving her clients an honest and natural approach and believes customer care, client education, an empathetic manner and strong attention to detail has enabled her to deliver superb treatment outcomes for her clients.
She complements her aesthetic skills by attending meetings and courses on injectables sponsored by the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS).
Nadia received her masters of nursing from Lewis University and her bachelors of science in nursing at Elmhurst College. She is board certified with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She received her certified aesthetic nurse specialist (CANS) Certification through Medical Aesthetics Education. Nadia believes in continuous education and continues to partake in ample training in aesthetic medicine.
Shamaila Khan — Director of CoolSculpting®
With more than 15 years in top positions in the healthcare and aesthetic industry, Shamaila is an invaluable asset to Iteld Plastic Surgery.
She has been an exceptional leader in aesthetic knowledge and CoolSculpting® services with the experience of thousands of successful patient treatments. She is a graduate of CoolSculpting® University and its recertification program, keeping her knowledge base and skills current with the latest techniques and treatment options. Her experience qualifies her as a specialist in all facets of aesthetics. Throughout her years in aesthetics, she has received training in various cosmetics and body contouring treatments.
Shamaila takes a deep interest in the wellbeing of each patient. She focuses on helping patients meet their goals by listening to their individual desires and uses her artistic eye by shaping a tailored treatment plan.
She holds her bachelor of arts from Northeastern Illinois University. Furthermore, she received her Certified Medical Assistant credential from Illinois School of Health.
Tanya Weeks — Skin Care Expert
Tanya Weeks is a licensed esthetician with over 15 years of experience. She attended the Naperville Skin Institute and started her career working at a day spa. Her love for the industry grew and she strived to learn more. In 2009, She attended Chicago’s True University, where she received training to work as an esthetician in a medical setting.
Since then, Tanya has been consistently providing top of the line customer service and has become a master at performing a variety of services such as dermaplaning, medical grade chemical peels, laser resurfacing, IPL photofacials, laser vein treatments, microneedling, laser hair removal, and more. She’s you go-to person for skin resurfacing, skin tightening, fat reduction (CoolSculpting), skin care products, and more.
She has a firm understanding of how the skin works, and it is her passion to help pass on her knowledge to her patients so that she can take care of their skin in the office and help educate them on how to properly care for it at home.
Tanya is a licensed esthetician and certified laser specialist, as well as a certified SkinPen and CoolSculpting specialist.
Kailyn Davis — Operations Manager
Kailyn works with Dr. Iteld and the rest of the team in various roles throughout all levels of operations within the practice. She is continuously working to improve our processes and increase efficiency to maximize top patient satisfaction for each person who comes into the office. She also acts as an intermediary between hospital departments and our patients to bring out the most effective healthcare treatment and overall positive experience. Kailyn joined the team in 2016, and her enthusiastic approach to working with and getting to know each of our patients shines through when first meeting her. Kailyn is very goal-driven, diligent, and outgoing.
She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design from Columbia College in 2015. Kailyn enjoys implementing her design knowledge and experience while managing some of our social media accounts. When she is not advocating for our patients, Kailyn enjoys spending time with her Pomeranian, Berkeley and Cat, Mochi in Bucktown where she resides.
Ashley Mariaca — Patient Liaison
Ashley is the first point of contact when you come into our office. She works efficiently to provide the best possible experience for every patient that walks through our doors. Her gregarious personality is what helps our patients feel comfortable and welcomed. Ashley is our primary translator for any Spanish speakers, allowing us to provide better quality service to all our patients.
She has her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Northeastern Illinois University, where she was a pre-med student. Prior to joining the team, Ashley was a Patient Scheduling Coordinator who worked closely with Vascular Surgeons where she learned to build long lasting relationships with patients. In her spare time, she enjoys tapping into her creativity by doing arts and crafts. Her favorite pastime is painting and drawing for her family and friends.
