In your fantastic 40s and ready for plastic surgery

Last month, I discussed many nonsurgical options. However, that may not be the right solution for many of you in your fantastic 40s. Is it time for a plastic surgery solution to resolve something that bothers you? Good thing we have many options to help you look and feel great about yourself.

Breast procedures

Breasts change. As you age, you may have noticed that your breasts are no longer high up and perky. Or, they have gotten bigger, too big! Or, breast feeding left them deflated and sagging. Or, you’ve always wanted bigger breasts. We have solutions for all these issues. Surgical options include augmentation, lift and reduction. And, if you had a mastectomy, there are various breast reconstruction surgical techniques, including flaps and implants.

For our male patients who deal with gynecomastia, male breast reduction surgery can give you a more balanced chest and the self confidence that goes with it!

So, as you can tell, there are solutions for whatever breast issue you have.

A better body

Fat seems to have a way settling into areas where it’s definitely not wanted! If it bothers you, consider liposuction for targeting specific areas to get a more contoured silhouette. Need more than that? A tummy tuck may provide the solution you need. This procedure removes excess fat and skin and restores weakened muscles to create a smoother, firmer abdominal profile.

Sagging butt? Want it shapelier? A Brazilian butt lift is an ideal way to add volume to your rear. I use your own fat cells, harvested from somewhere else on your body, which avoids allergic reaction or rejection.

Face forward

No one really wants to look old, and you don’t have to either! Patients in their 40s don’t often see sagging skin in the mid- or lower portions of your face and, therefore, may not need a face lift. But still something doesn’t look quite right anymore. Oftentimes, patients with this issue benefit from a brow lift, which alters contours only on the upper face.

Eyes look tired? Have your lids started to droop? Or do you have bags under them that are anything but attractive? Eye lid surgery, known as Blepharoplasty, can be performed on just your upper lids, lower lids, or all four at once.

New service — BodyTite

BodyTite

In the battle against loose skin, I am very pleased to have a new weapon—BodyTite! This technology, powered bi-directional RF, helps tighten skin without the need for “cutting and long scars.” It is not a replacement for surgical procedures in people with severe skin laxity and excess, but is a great option for people who are “tweeners.” By this I mean you may be a candidate if you need some tightening but are not quite to the level where you need a facelift, a tummy tuck, or an arm or thigh lift. It is also a great adjunct for Gynecomastia and with liposuction to give even greater, higher definition results.

Narcotics: Not needed nor used

I believe that my patients can and do even better without opioids. Pain? No! You won’t have to worry about pain you won’t have. Instead, you’ll have an improved patient experience with better recovery.

Time for surgery

Now is the perfect time to schedule your surgery. This will give you the time you need to heal and look your absolute best when you shed your heavy winter clothing. Please contact my patient coordinators at info@driteld.com or call 312.757.4505 to schedule a confidential consultation.

This is the fifth in a series of blogs I am posting discussing surgical and nonsurgical options for patients as we age. After all, we all want to look are best…no matter how young or old we are.
