If you want to reduce facial wrinkles and lines and look even better in all those holiday photos, consider scheduling an appointment for fillers now! They are great quick fixes to help you look your best.
The Dermal Fillers We Use
I use two types of fillers— hyaluronic acid and poly-L-lactic acid:
- Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that has the capacity to attract and hold vast amounts of moisture. When injected, it acts like an inflated cushion to support facial structures and tissues that may have lost volume or elasticity due to normal aging. The injections last three to five months, depending on your life style, body chemistry and the rate at which you are naturally aging. To maintain your youthful appearance, most patients have new hyaluronic injections two to three times a year.
Hyaluronic acid fillers we use: Juvéderm®, Volbella®, Voluma®, and Vollure™
- Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) is a biocompatible, biodegradable substance that is gradually and naturally absorbed by the body. These fillers cause collagen to create the fill where placed. Typically, PPLA fillers require a series of two or three treatments, and will last for two or more years.
PLLA we use: Sculptra
Are Dermal Fillers Right for You?
Dermal fillers will help improve your appearance temporarily, but they are not a permanent solution and they won’t stop the aging process. They are, however, a wonderful way to delay the time when a surgical solution may be more appropriate. With fillers, patients see impressive changes and improvements in their appearance until they are ready for a permanent surgical option.
Regardless of which filler we use, if you decide not to re-treat, your appearance will return to its original condition. Wrinkles and scars will return, and plumped lips will lose their volume.
Goal
My goal is always to have my patients’ outside appearance match how you feel on the inside, to be the physical expression of your inner self.
